My name is Eliot Gomez.  I am just a ordinary person desiring to witness extraordinary things. I just want a way I can take who I am, my passion and skills, and use them for something other than myself. I want to give back the gifts that I was given. To share in a way that will make this world a better place. I just have a heart for the hurting, for those hungry, the desperate, and unlovable, and I want to at least try to do something about it. And I love photography.  The study of light.  Being able to capture, to create, to take everything common and find ornateness.  To find the beauty in something you might walk by everyday.   To spark a memory inside of you or a familiar feeling or emotion or love.  Capturing time.  Freezing it for a moment just long enough to recreate its story from the beginning of creation to this moment of glory now in full bloom.  This is why I love photography.  For it is captivating the quintessence of the beautiful creation of God in a way that makes it seem as if this was how it was always meant to be or perhaps revealing a longing of how it ought to.  Sparking familarity witin and suddenly we begin to find ourselves in an all too familiar world, as if we were made made for it, made for a bigger Story, like we were made for greater Glory. And I put those two ideas together and I come to this--The Artistic Vision--and this is my hope: to take art and photography, to take who I am and make a difference.  However, I am just one person, and it is just a name, but what if others caught the Vision?  What if others found a way they could give back what they've been given? Their talents and abilities to change this world. Imagine if everyone caught this Vision. Just imagine what that would look like. Just imagine a revolution of love.
